The Burnham at Hilton Cleveland Downtown — Menu Guide
By Firoz Khan · FK Digital Media
The Burnham is the signature restaurant of the Hilton Cleveland Downtown at 100 Lakeside Avenue East — a 257-seat dining room named for Daniel Burnham, the architect whose 1903 Group Plan shaped Cleveland's civic center. The kitchen's brief is "elevated Midwest comfort food": familiar classics rebuilt with modern technique. Cleveland restaurateur Zack Bruell consulted on the menus, and the room runs breakfast and lunch daily with dinner Monday through Saturday. Below is our independent walkthrough of the menu, reported prices, and what we'd order. Everything is written in our own words; prices are reported figures, not a copy of the restaurant's menu.

Breakfast & brunch
Breakfast is served daily from 6:30am to 11am, and it's a genuine draw — the breakfast buffet is popular with both hotel guests and locals, and the Bloody Mary gets special attention at brunch. Cleveland Magazine's coverage has flagged the Sunday brunch spread (reported around $32) as a highlight, with Cleveland touches like kielbasa and pierogies alongside themed specials, and an apple pie waffle with apple compote and bacon bits (reported $16).
Lunch & dinner
Lunch runs daily 11:30am–2pm; dinner runs Monday–Saturday 5pm–9pm. The menu reads American but travels: reported dishes from published coverage include a knife-and-fork po'boy (reported $16) built from fried oysters, fried gulf shrimp, and coleslaw on a house-made buttermilk biscuit; pork and pineapple fried rice (reported $14) with Thai basil sauce; duck leg confit (reported $24); fried cheese curds (reported $12); and buttermilk-fried calamari (reported $10). Crispy-skin salmon, a smash burger, and chicken and waffles are the recurring guest favorites.
Our take: the po'boy is the signature lunch order — it's the dish the room is known for, and it shows the kitchen's comfort-food thesis at its best.
Drinks & the patio
The 60-seat patio overlooking Lake Erie and Mall B is one of downtown's better outdoor seats. Elsewhere in the hotel, Bar 32 — the 32nd-floor rooftop bar — does the skyline views and craft cocktails (21+), while Eliot's Bar on the second floor covers all-day drinks and bites.
What we'd order
If we had one meal here, this is how we'd play it:
- Lunch: the knife-and-fork po'boy — decadent, messy, and exactly the point.
- Dinner: the duck leg confit for something refined, or the smash burger for the comfort-food purist.
- Brunch: the Sunday spread with a Bloody Mary, especially if you can score a patio table.
Planning your visit
- Watch the convention calendar. The hotel sits next to the convention center; during big events the dining room fills fast.
- No dinner on Sundays — plan brunch or look elsewhere for Sunday night.
- Parking: $15 valet with a dinner purchase; the free RTA B-Line and C-Line trolleys stop nearby.
