Hakkasan — Menu Guide

By Firoz Khan · FK Digital Media

The Miami outpost of Hakkasan sits in a 4th-floor rooftop enclave at the Fontainebleau — and this is where the brand made its US debut. The format is modern Cantonese: dim sum, Peking duck, wok dishes, and seafood, in the dark-lacquered, lattice-screened room the brand is known for. Founded in London in 2001 by Alan Yau, Hakkasan's original Hanway Place was the first Chinese restaurant ever to earn a Michelin star (2003, held for 20 years) — a note of honesty: both London branches lost their stars in the 2024 Michelin Guide, so don't read "Michelin-starred" claims about the current brand at face value. Below is our independent walkthrough with prices from the official Fontainebleau menu page, fetched September 2026 — the strongest official-sourced data of our Florida set. Everything is written in our own words. Note: a 20% service charge is added to all checks.

What we'd order

If we had one meal here, this is how we'd play it:

  • The centerpiece: the Peking duck — the $78 half-duck if two, the $128 whole duck for a table.
  • The Hakkasan move: the $40 dim sum platter — four pieces that show the kitchen's range.
  • The splurge: Maine lobster ($98) or the caviar-topped duck ($228) for a true occasion.
  • Budget note: remember the 20% service charge lands on top of every check.

Planning your visit

  • Book via OpenTable — the listing shows strong daily demand; weekend slots go first.
  • Dress code: business casual.
  • Dinner only — it opens at 6 PM nightly.
  • The name: an homage to the Hakka people of Hong Kong's New Territories plus the Japanese respectful form of address, "san."
