Yolan — Menu Guide

By Firoz Khan · FK Digital Media

Yolan is the Italian fine-dining room inside The Joseph (a Luxury Collection Hotel) at 403 4th Avenue South in Nashville. The restaurant is directed by Tony Mantuano, with Chef de Cuisine Liam Byres running the kitchen (per the restaurant's official events page, August 2026). Mantuano's personal credentials — James Beard Best Chef Midwest 2005 and the Michelin-starred Spiaggia in Chicago — are his own, not awards held by Yolan. Recognition for the restaurant itself, per OpenTable editors: "Nashville's only Forbes Star Award-winning restaurant", OpenTable Icon in both 2024 and 2025, and OpenTable's Top 100 Hotel Restaurants in America; pastry chef Noelle Marchetti was a 2023 James Beard semifinalist (per OpenTable editors). The Joseph hotel holds AAA Four Diamond — a hotel-level award, kept separate from the restaurant's honors. Everything below is written in our own words.

Current menu — Sicilia season

Yolan rotates its menu by Italian region; as of October 2026 the season is Sicilia. The restaurant's main menus page publishes dish names but no prices. Current dishes include:

  • Melanzane Fritte.
  • Gnocchi alla Trapanese.
  • Busiate con Salsiccia e Sparacelli.
  • Halibut with couscous alla Trapanese.
  • Tennessee oak wood-fired Sanchoku Wagyu steaks.
  • Esperienza Yolan: the five-course tasting menu.

Prices — from official 2026-era event menus

The main menus page carries no prices, but the restaurant's official event PDFs do. Each figure below is labeled with the event it came from:

  • Brunch (official event menu, 2026 era): Short Rib Hash $26; Yolan Burger $25; Risotto alla Milanese $28.
  • Aperitivo Alpino (February 2026 event): Pesce Fritto di Missoltini $18; Polenta Taragna Fritta $12; Northern Italian wine flight $40.
  • Valentine's 2026: Oven-Roasted Mere Point Oysters $26; Lobster Fra Diavolo $32; 14oz Bear Creek Wagyu Strip Steak $120.

  • Feast of the Seven Fishes (December 2025): five courses $165.

Reviewer favorites

Third-party reviewers keep naming the same dishes — these are reported, not official recommendations: black truffle gnocchi, cacio e pepe, wild boar chop, Cotoletta alla Milanese, and Culurgiones all'aragosta.

What we'd order

If we had one dinner here, this is how we'd play it:

  • The Sicilia play: start with the Melanzane Fritte, then the Gnocchi alla Trapanese.
  • The splurge: the five-course Esperienza Yolan tasting menu, or the Tennessee oak wood-fired Sanchoku Wagyu steak.
  • The before: arrive for the daily 3–5 PM Aperitivo hour.
  • The after: the espresso bar runs daily 6 AM–3 PM — plan a coffee visit separately.

Planning your visit

  • Book early — OpenTable showed "Booked 33 times today" in September 2026, and the restaurant held OpenTable Icon status in 2024 and 2025; 615-231-0405.
  • Menus are seasonal and regional — check the current season on the official menus page before you go, since Sicilia will eventually rotate to a new region.
  • Credential clarity: Mantuano's James Beard and Spiaggia Michelin credentials are personal; Yolan's own honors are the Forbes Star Award and the OpenTable lists, as reported by OpenTable's editors.
  • Pairing it: compare with our Nashville Grange guide for a lower-key hotel-dining alternative the same night.

About these prices

Yolan's main menus page publishes no prices. The figures above come from official Yolan event PDFs (2026 era), each labeled with its event — event pricing isn't regular à la carte pricing. Menus rotate by season, so always verify current offerings and prices with the restaurant before visiting.
